Lots of those funny cars out there ; there's a guy with a 1,300 + hp VW bug who annihilates supercars in q mile runs also

1300 hp in a car that weighs less than a sardine can? LOL What's next? A guy with 2 rockets strapped to a skateboard?

it's actually pretty easy to make a bug do great times. i did a turbocharged 911 motor in one that did low 9s, and we were only putting out about 500hp. i did a couple of stupid cars like that back when i had the shop, just to poke at the guys in the hopped up camaros. 460 in a pinto and a blown 302 in a 944 come to mind. worthless cars, but quick in the 1/4

Whew! I thought this was one of those "That'll buff right out" threads...lots of cars faster than the 968 in the 1/4 (Including my old Miata)

We had a 440/727 combo in a Vega. Scary fast, the torque twisted the body so much that you could powerbrake it and pop open the glove box.
