Just wanted to give a heads up that if anyone around LA is looking for a good shop, I can definitely recommend R2 Racing up in Santa Clarita.



Robert did a PPI on my car before I bought it for a very reasonable price. He was a Porsche Master Mechanic and had been working at Porsche dealers for 20+ years before leaving to start his own shop.



The shop owns two 944 race cars, and has about 6 other 944's on their lot the two times I've been there. He works on everything Porsche, but clearly knows his way around 944/951/S2/968's. Had a 944S2 engine on a stand when I got the PPI done which helped to see why the balance shaft seals are such an ordeal to replace.
