Purchasing Gas
#21

I always preferred the BP Ultimate Crystal Clear, but in checking their site I find that they don't offer it in all markets. I guess I need to check the pump to be sure I'm getting it in my market.

I just filled up the BMW, and I don't think we get the Ultimate Crystal Clear here in this market. They must have eased it out the market when they bought Amoco. $4.15 for the Ultimate 93 octane. I never thought I'd be happy with that kind of price, but it is not bad considering what some of you guys are paying.

You are correct sir. But a friend of mine drives out to Pleasanton, I think, and buys some 100 race fuel. Tempted to go out there and get myself a can of it and mix to get a 93. He figured about a 1 to 4 ratio to get the desired effect.

A couple times when I drove up to Vancouver BC, I would fill up with 94.

There is a 76 station ( in Woodside ) less than 10 minutes from my house, which sells 100 octane and at ONLY $5.99/gal. , so I go there occasionally and use that same 1 to 4 ratio .

Right on!!! Woodside is an easier drive for me. Maybe I shoud fill up there before I get on the 84 for some nice twisties to the ocean. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
