Diablo PCA Wash 'n Shine on Sun, May 24th - smj - 05-13-2009

The Diablo Region of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) will hold it's 25th annual Wash and Shine car show at the Danville Livery on Sunday morning, May 24th. Over 50 Porsches will be shown, from rare vintage models to "garage queens" to race-prepped cars. This event is free to the public, or $20 if you want to show your car and compete for the honors in any of 10 categories. There will be prizes, live music, demonstrations, and local shops and restaurants will open especially for this family-friendly event.

968 angle: There were no 944/968 examples last year -- not one! Could be an easy prize for you... I'm trying to get my 914/6 ready and will only bring my 968 if that falls through.

Event is listed as 10AM to 1PM for the public, but <b>registration for entrants will open at 8AM</b>.

Well, the clips/grommets/thingies needed to reinstall my passenger side rocker panel won't arrive until the 27th. I don't think the 968 will do so well missing a rocker. ;^) And it won't be the 914-6, because it looks like there's a problem with the starter motor/solenoid.

That said, consider this a bump -- the show's this Sunday for those in mid-California.
