Oil gauge position at rest -

Just curious - what is the "usual" position of the oil gauge inside the car when the key is on and the engine is off? ie as if you were doing a blink test. Is it 0 bar? below that? how much below that? There must be a "powered starting point" that is supposedly consistent among cars.
