I need a headlight lense, passenger side is cracked.
Any suggestions?

the lens is not sold separately - it comes with the backshell - try the traditional sources for used, or sunset for new - not going to be cheap either way

I got lucky and found two "new in box" from a guy cleaning out his garage during a move. Keep an eye out on eBay as they pop up (no pun intended) from time to time. Last I checked, new ones were around 300.00 each and the used ones were sometime half that or a little more.

I was planning on holding on to my good one as a spare, but may be willing to part with it. I haven't swapped them out yet, so if you don't need it right away, let me know. Good luck either way. If I see one available, I'll pass along the info.

Driver's side has a small hole in it from a rock...only have one good one, but as mentioned, would be willing to part with it. The 968 lighting project has been on my list for awhile now, so you're right, I need to find/make the time!

When I changed my headlights (one was cracked, one was road-weary), I put StonGard on the new ones. I highly recommend. I also had one spare light that I donated to someone who was talking about working on a fixed-headlight fender configuration. All I ever got out of that effort, though, was the loss of one perfectly good headlight. Sometimes being a good guy doesn't work out. Sigh.

Yes, I'm serisouly considering the film protction as well...new glass is beautiful and it'd be nice to keep them that way!

I just put these on. 20 minute job. The film is incredibly thick. At least 3X thicker than what is on my other car. And that stuff has never allowed a single chip in the paint. I think you could bounce a crowbar of the lights now... The kit also included film for the fogs and turns (US, not Euro style). Less than $80 all in. Well worth it IMHO. Easy protection and cheap.

Yes - the value of the StonGard on the fogs is most noticeable. Shortly after I'd purchased my car, I went to a little gathering and ended up nose-to-nose to a low-mileage car. The difference in the foglight lenses was so noticeable that I immediately purchased new fogs, installed them with StonGard, and haven't looked back. Nearly 6 years and more than 100,000 miles later, they still look new.

I highly recommend a film. I put on the Xpel film this winter and low and behold if I didn't find a small chip in my headlight a few weeks ago. That means the rock was big enough to push through the film so it definitly would have cracked my headlight. Cost 45.00 CDN for all 6 lights and saved me 300.00 so far [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]
