Although I don't currently own a 968, I am actively looking. My current toy is a 99 Corvette and I'm looking for something different and Porsche has caught my fancy with the 968. I'm looking to learn all I can about the 968 and this looks like a great place to start.

I don't think he still visits this site but if he ever checks in, let it be known I want his seats.

Thanks for the welcome. The 968 I would like is one that is totally stock and without any engine mods. I've had the power and know the 968 can't run with the Corvette but I'm past that now. I want something a little different that you don't see driving down the road everyday.

I got .02 to spare.
Ive driven many Vettes and I love the car for both its looks and power. And as for the Z06 OMG, that throttle is might as well be a crack pipe! I would have soooo many tickets had I got one of them.
That said, when you consider that the Vettes engine is twice the size and has double the cylinders, the results during HWY runs are actually a little surprising. Have both cars at a 50mph roll and step on it, The Vette is going to take the 68 but not totally humiliate it as I thought it would. Especially when you take into account the specs. Take both out in the twisties and that vette is going to need every bit of that engines power to compete with the balance and handling of the 68. The Vette is not a clumsy car as I have heard many people say. But apexing at high speeds is much easier in the 68.
Enough of my experiences, go test drive one for yourself and tell us what you think. Perhaps the owner, who is more familiar with the car, will be able to show you its true potential.
