Get together of Dutch forum members - Johannvb - 08-12-2009

Since the number of Dutch members have grown substantially I think it is time for us to organize a get together. I was at the 924 cub's get together about a month ago and I remember thinking at that time how great it would be if we did this for 968s.

I think somewhere in August or September on a Saturday or Sunday morning would be good. Please post some dates and possible venues here, and let's see what we can put together. And here is a photo of the 924 get together to tempt you...

Great idea. It is difficult for me to give dates due to regular travel for work, however August 22 and probably 29 would work or later in September

Damn I cannot make 29 August..that's when I leave for my Holiday.

I am happy with Sunday 27 September.

The 924 guys had their get together at the AC Restuarant in de Meern....lotsa space, but not the nicest place. Does anybody else know of a good place. I don't mind driving, it gives me an excuse to excercise the 968 [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

There are plenty good places - but the final choice is depending on what you want ...

I managed to get 75 Porschedrivers and their Porsches to meet in front of Porsche Centre Rotterdam last June (the 12th) [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif[/img]

I was also thinking the new Porsche dealership in Amsterdam would be good, not sure when they are opening their doors...or if there will be coffee nearby.

Both above dates are fine for me! Location....my preference also goes to P dealers for the location!

BTW, P dealer in Amsterdam doesn't have much parking space! Besides that, on Sundays to parking is closed of.

If the group is not too large ( say up to 12-14 persons ), we could do it @ my place in Wijk en Aalburg ; Saterday September 26th suits me just fine ... if no rain we could start in the afternoon and fire up the Bbq ...

1) I just thought it would be cool to have more 968's than 911's for a change.
2) And most importantly, my written dutch is only good for short cryptic sentences. Due to this I am little more than a lurker on that forum [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif[/img]

But please feel free to post it there as well, the more 968's and people who like to see lots of them together, the better!

Ok, it seems like Sunday the 27th of September is going to be the best date for this. Now we just need to decide if it is going to be the Porsche Dealer in Rotterdam or at Dimma's place.

But my guess is that once we post this on PorscheForum.nl that we will probably exceed 12 people, so Rotterdam is likely going to be the best location.
