17" Boxster wheels on Craig's List - Jamie '92 968 - 11-24-2009

I want to get a set of winter tires for my car and saw a set of 17" boxster wheels on Craig's list with relatively new Bridgestone Blizzaks in 255/40/R17 and 205/50/R17.

The guy doesn't know the wheel widths or offsets, but claims they are "OEM Boxster"

Is there any way I can tell if they will fit?
They are conveniently located and a decent price

Thanks for any advice. I am new to the wheel thing and clueless as usual...

Jamie

Should have no issue with those.

Depending on which style (Twist Front 17x7 et55) you may need
a 5mm spacer to get the center cap on.
For some reason this is not always the case.

But they will fit and be great winter wheels and tire so long as the tread is good.
I've had great experience with them.

I have a set of 16" OEM wheels with Blizzaks mounted that I'm willing to sell. I used them for several winters on my 968, so there certainly is no "fit" issue. The wheels are far from "show" wheels - but they do the job for winter. The tires have quite a bit of remaining tread. Let me know if you're interested.
