far too subjective to say anything is "best" - the rarest would be one of the custom colors

As Bob said, "best" is a subjective answer. As for rarest, Porsche produced less then 10 cars in each of the colors below for the North American market, some only 1, some none.

I would have to say.. Amazone Green with a cream / caramel full electric interior (that way the underside of the dashboard is covered in leather)

I almost bought a Maritime Blue Coupe when i was lookign for a 968back in '95. Good price, rare color. However, the car's interior was by far the worst condition i've seen of any 968 which is why i never purchased the car. I do have pics of the car on my old PC, maybe i'll post some.

back in the mid 90's, as a teen; i dreamed of one day buying a Polar Silver '95 Coupe with M030, Sport seats, & LSD. I even remember making a short mod list as there wasnt much out there....Tri-Flo catback, Powerhaus intake & chip, 993 Turbo wheels and headlight conversion.

i definitely like the metallic colors best - with the exception of black, the solids just don't show off the lines as well
however, solids are easier to maintain, as there is no clear coat to burn through when buffing - they are also less expensive to repaint and repair
white is probably the easiest to live with on a day to day basis

Red on Black baby, Sixteen Candles style...(I know it was a 944, but this is clearly just because the 968 was not yet available).
I actually was trying to avoid buying a red Porsche for several reasons, but the price was right, and I've gotta say, I love it.

36 factory paint offerings for the 968 over the 4 model year run plus color to sample. 27 in 1992, 19 in 1993 and 1994, 13 in 1995.

Jeff - any idea how many Granite Green's made it to the US? I had an 88 928S4 in Granite Green - loved that color - still regret letting that one go. If I ever buy a "new" Porsche - I would certainly take a hard look at doing the Color to Sample in Granite Green. Let me know, thanks, Derek

I saw a Malachite Green 997 Turbo Cabrio with a natural brown leather interior about 6 months ago. I though the color combination was stunning, especcially so in bright sun light.

Not a single granite green 968 coupe or cab in the NA market although it is possible that one of the color to sample metallic cars could be granite green.

Your list looks good although only one Midnight Blue, sales code F8. They did have two paint codes because of the water based paint introduction (L37W/L39C).
