Hello - falkster - 10-05-2010

Hi I'm Chris, live in Yorkshire, England. I've loved Porsche for a long time and always wanted one. My wife has had a Boxster S for a few years now and a few weeks ago I bought myself a 968 CS which is brilliant. It's so good to drive slow and fast!! Love it!!

Welcome Chris, nice car you have.
If you do your own spannering then this site is absolutely invaluable, the knowledge base is second to none - great bunch of rear-transaxle enthusiasts.

Chris

I meant when stuck in traffic!!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Welcome Chris

So, which do you enjoy more? The modern conveniences of the boxster or heart pounding, exhilarating feel along with superior looks, class and exclusivity of the 968.

Just curious.

Hello - falkster - 10-08-2010

Its really strange because I hated the boxster for so long but recently fell in love with it. The gear change is notchy and rubbish but the ride is nice whereas the 968 is a much nicer gear change but it feels quite raw. Ive not driven a normal one so dont know how that compares with the CS.
When my member status changes ill post some pics of my other cars. I bought the CS to keep my E30 M3 company!! Very similar chassis but totally different to drive!

Hello - rhudeboye - 10-08-2010

Bet my gear changes are notchier then the box. i like the pure feel of the 68 the 44 and the 911. I think there biggest mistake on the 68 was in the exhaust. Its too quite. Does nothing to complement the experience. Not to mention the ridiculous weight it adds.

Welcome to a great source of info on your car. I love the color, what color interior?

Welcome. We are close neightbours, as i am from Portugal!

I happened to work in UK (Scunthorpe, or as we called it "Sunny Scunny") for more than a year and occasionally fly to Reading in some business trips.

Hope we can help each other along with this amazing community of experienced home wrenchers (i, for sure, am not the one you should ask first... or second... LOL).

Good fast and happy cornering!
