Hi. I'm Jonathan, from the Vancouver area of British Columbia. I don't have a 968 at the moment, but I'd like to buy one in the future. I wanted to join this site so I could learn all I could about the 968 before purchasing one. I'll probably end up with one that needs some work as my budget for a fun car will limit me to cars with high mileage or in disrepair. I've always been a domestic car guy (even though I own a G35 coupe right now), I've owned several Camaros and Firebirds in the past, so this will be a new experience for me (if I can find one that fits my budget). I do all my own mechanic work on my cars, so if I get a 968 I will be using this site often to help me through my repairs, I'm sure working on Porsche is a lot different than working on a Camaro.

Welcome Jonathan. Get a cabriolet if you can find one and have a garage to keep it in for winters. I simply put away my '94 cab in November when the rain starts and get it out in March, my daily driver is a Jeep.
Enjoy the ride, 968s are fun cars.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm going to be looking for a coupe, I really like the look the of the cabriolet, but the coupe is a little bit more practical for my needs as it offers more space inside. In my search I have noticed a lot more cabriolets for sale than coupes, I assume the cabriolet must have sold in higher number than the coupe.

Welcome! As Dave said - it would be great to see an increase of 968's on the CDN west coast.

I probably won't be buying until next year, I wanted to join this site early so I can learn all I can before I buy the car. I have to build a shed and make room in my garage for a second car before I buy one, my wife wouldn't be very happy if I took her spot in the garage. A question for the Canadian owners, did you buy Canadian cars or import them from the US?

Bought mine last December in the Seattle area. Very easy to import. If you need info on that in the future, send me a PM.
