a very new owner of a 968, so new in fact that it will not be picked up for a couple of weeks. the vehicle was purchased on e-bay , so my expectations are hopeful to say the least. the 968's mileage is high at apx 140,000 but it looks marvelous in photos. please wish me luck. agincourt31

You should be good to go as long as you had a PPI done and received some verification of maintenance records. Welcome to the 968 ride!

^Sorry but our quotes are off. ^

Welcome aboard. I got my car from e-bay as well however it was sold by a porsche dealership. 140 inst that bad. My car is currently at 145 and still packs quite a punch. There's a theory around here that often rings true. No matter where your purchase price is, the car averages out to about 14K. Buy it at 9 and spend 5 in repairs or buy it around 14 and have a sound vehicle. That philosophy proved true in my case. Got the car cheap but needed tranny work after 1 month of ownership. Then I had the upper half of the engine done -preventative.

Welcome. I'm also a "newish" owner of a 968 and am figuring it out. Change all fluids, belts and inspect cam chain and and tensioner pads. All the info is on this site. Many use 15W50 Mobil 1 and a semi synthetic trans oil. Have fun!

You've got a rare classic. Average enthusiasts don't know what a 968 is, so be prepared to answer quite a few questions. I usually just tell them it's the last version of the 924/944
and that seems to help their understanding a bit. You're gonna love the 3.0 litre and 6 speed. My '94 968 cabriolet is a keeper. Enjoy!
