It looks the part and I assume that it does the job too but it doesn't state on the site if any hacking is required to the sheet metal (although I assume it does since the air has to enter somewhere). Has anyone tried this piece and where there any noticeable gains?

I have one that I ordered when I did my airbox mod. Once I got in there, though, I realized that the plastic cover, with the glove/rag compartment, does roughly the same thing, looks better, and has the cool little "hidden" compartment. As a result, I decided not to use the shroud. If you're interested, I'd sell you mine for $75 - virtually brand new. By the way, it fits right in, no hacking, no mods required.

Thanks but I got a good deal from Pete along with some other stuff.
I don't have the trimming that the coupe has as Porsche apparently decided it was too heavy to go in a CS so I'm hoping that it'll do some good in the looks department at least. Pete says the intake air temps dropped some 40 degrees (Fahrenheit I guess) and that's enough to make a difference.
