Just my car back from the paint shop. It was a mess, dent on the hood, dents in front and rear passenger quarter panels, side skirts all pitted, spider webbing and cracking all over the rear bumper and a host of bad touch ups from PO. Pictures don't do it justice, came out great!

Looks good. How much it cost you?

single stage dupont urethane

The paint looks flat and smooth. The only way to achieve that mirror finish.

Don't wax for 2 weeks.

Looks great. What paint shop did you use ?

Congrats, came out really well. I hope mine turns out like that. I have some scratches and rear bumper dents too.

feels good, doesn't it?

i really should do mine again - it was beautiful when i first got it done about 6 years ago, but now all the events, and all the years of tinkering and modifying have resulted in enough flaws that it bugs me

of course the thing that really messed it up was towing the car backwards on a trailer to denver when utah was under construction - about 40 chips and dings in my brand new paint - very depressing

do yourself a favor, take your keys, walk up to the lower rear passenger corner of the car and give it a whack - get that first ding out of the way - if you don't, you'll go crazy trying to protect the paint

Thanks for that advice. I find myself for the first time allowing for numerous carlenghts in front of me. This is not something I have ever done. Suspect even that won't be enough. Have to moderate this new compulsion!

lol - yeah - it will make you crazy - it took me quite a while to come to the point where i just realized that it's going to happen, so there is no point in me worrying about it, so i might as well get the first ding out of the way so that i could enjoy the car

Very nice paint job. Looks brand new. Enjoy!

a clear bra will prevent chips and keep the finish nice for a long time. The new stuff will not yellow,,,ever.
