Whoa. That is seriously cool. Interesting that it's in pieces and needs to be assembled. Wonder if it's worth anywhere near the $65K he's asking, given the amount of work it needs, and the fact that there's no indication of any special history on the car.

I have a photo somewhere of me standing next to what I think is this car. Limerock Park. Must be 1995-1996. I think it was painted yellow and white back then. But i'm pretty sure it still said 96 rock on the side. Gonna dig through some old photo albums tonight.

I saw the motor work in progress a while back. At that time both 96 Rock car and Michaels tube frame car were both fresh and very strong. Really a shame it had a second shunt at Summit. Michael was involved in a serious crash in 2004 with same . Left front seems like turn 8-9 again.

I'm drooling, but this isn't in my future. I estimate 75-100 hrs to re-assemble. Then it would be too expensive to drive and maintain.

Very fast though. My 944 Turbo Cup and Firehawk turn 1:24's at Summit. That car ran 1:09 or so.
