Putting up my introduction .......
As stated in the title line, I'm from British Columbia ...... Vancouver to be more precise.
At present I don't own a 968, I'm the proud owner of a 944 though. An all original 1985.5 base model. An absolutely wonderful car. My wife shakes her head and cannot understand why I enjoy this under equipped, rough riding little car. Especially so since I sold a one owner, low miles, mint E39 M5 and jumped into the 944 as happy as a kid with a new bike!
Lightweight, 50/50 balance, handling like a go cart, tiny and pretty fine fuel mileage ........ what's not to love?
Well after a year, 26,000 km and several road trips my automotive ADD kicked in. I was going down the aircooled 911 road since I've always loved those wonderful cars. And I'm still not saying I will never park one in the garage. But I go outside, jump in that little $6500 944 and have a smile on my face every single time. Doing some research, I could find a decent 911 in the $15,000-$35,000 range. Or a mint 944 Turbo for half that.
Then I looked at the 968.
Previously, I had no use for the 968. Then I educated myself on the model. Slightly curved fenders that give a forward view reminiscent of the 911,the callback to the 928, the much welcomed horsepower upgrade, six speed transmission and then best of all.... the size. One of the things I love best about my 944 is it's diminutive size. Seeing as the 968 is almost exactly the same size but with almost a 90 HP injection and better equipped ....... well I'd be a fool not to be in love! And then comparing prices and the smile vs dollar ratio ..........
So now, after pulling my head out of my backside I am on the hunt for a well kept coupe.I'm in no rush & can travel a bit down the west coast to get the right car, wish me luck!

Welcome! I have just gotten my first 968 and I too love the curs and sloping front end and the big fenders! My wife asked me if I was embarrassed buy having such and old Porsche. She too does not really get it - lol.
Good luck on your search for your 968.

Welcome and good luck in your search. Best if you could find one in Canada. I think the PO of my car (which I purchased in your fair city and brought back into the US), paid almost $1k in tariff to bring my car into BC from Calif. And, seems like there have been cars available from time to time in your area.

Hope you find a good example. There are a few "Wet Coasters" on the forum to relate to in your search; myself and Langley968 for a start.

Welcome and good luck in your search. I'm sure you must be delighted that the light bulb went off when you decided to come to the 968 side!
