I once owned a Strada and was surprised it wasn't listed.

I had a 71 or 72 Pinto.. Bright yellow. First brand new car I ever bought. My fuel tank never blew up, but the car did rust into oblivion.

No DeLoren?
No PT Cruiser?
No Mercury models of any description?

The DeLorean was actually a good-looking car, though admittedly it had mediocre performance, even for its day, and was generally greeted fairly positively by the motoring press. The PT Cruiser developed a fairly strong following, and was actually a pretty well-executed car in terms of packaging efficiency. It looks are up for debate - my entire family hated it, but I actually thought it looked kind of cool. As far as Mercury, the word I'd use to describe the entire line is "forgettable," so I guess nothing distinctively offensive enough to make the list.

Definitely some iconic cars, so much so that I bet there is a cult following for a few of them. And, if I remember correctly the Pacer could be purchased with a large V8 making it a small quick car. Not my cup of tea but some among the young crowd liked it for that reason.

I just pulled up to a DeLorean a month ago in Wilkes Barre. I almost fell out of my seat. It was driven by a guy in his 20's who said he bought it and fixed it up. When I asked him how it drove he smiled and said great. He admitted it needed some more work but hey it looked great and he had this huge Cheshire grin! Gotta dig that.

Nooooo!! Not the X19 - it was one of my alltime favorite cars. My brother owned one. Beautiful little car with amazing handling, but horrifically underpowered, though not so much by the standards of its day.

I kind of have a thing for the Fleetwood, though not that particular year (I would love a 1974)...The diesel Chevette and Renault Alliance came quickly to mind when I read the topic.

Now THOSE are legitimate contenders, imho. As far as the Fleetwood in the list, I think the point they were making is that Cadillac took a perfectly decent car (if you're into the motorized sofa kind of thing) and ruined it by equipping it with a technology (cylinder deactivation) that was woefully unproven, unreliable, and downright dangerous.

The 90's XJ cherokees are probably some of the better (and by better I mean reliable) things ever put out by the Chrysler company (not that I'm biased or anything). I like the old SJ based Cherokees & Wagoneers as well. The new ones -- meh, hate on them all you'd like. :-)

Looking at Inked's list, it's sad that every one of them other than the Subaru Tribeca is American. Just goes to show how arrogant the US auto industry had become, expecting the American public to beat a path to their dealerships regardless of the crap inside. Hopefully they've learned their lesson after this attitude brought them to bankruptcy. There have been a few promising new American models in the past few years, but Detroit can't forget that the competition isn't standing still.

The early Toyota Previa's totally looked like a giant suppository with wheels and I have to say the Honda Insight and the Toyota Prius are both on the fugly list as well.
