i realized that in the thread about ordering that i wasn't particularly clear about the supercharger kits.
i rummaged through all of my parts (big cabinet - lots of stuff). i was able to put together enough of the difficult stuff for 3 more kits. the rest was easy.
the only thing i would have to get in would be the head unit. so, i could basically ship in a bit over a week from the date of order.
these are really complicated to put together, with a lot of little details to have to stay on top of (well over 200 parts). so, i won't be doing any more of these.
1 kit is spoken for. that leaves 2. first come first served.
it can be a complete stage 1 kit (stage 3 upgrade kits sold separately) or a hardware only kit. your choice.

Flash, if I bought one of these remaining stage 1 kits & the stage 3 upgrade kit, does it include the required stage 2 kit as well? (according to all the posts on the SC setup you quite making the stage 2 kit).

No air con actually makes for a better installation if you het the right bracket. Mounts the SC in a better place and in line with the alternator. There are suppliers that sell brackets to suit the C30-94 without AC.

banderson - check out the Design 1 Racing website. it has the pricing and instructions. there are also threads here with a LOT of information. search is your friend (always use the advanced search, by clicking the little gear)
eric - i would argue that it is not "better". "better" would mean an installation that retained all of the car's features, without modifications. there were already other centrifugal kits out there that were "hack and slash". that isn't "better"
other than mine, i don't think there are any brackets out there for sale to mount the unit to a 968 engine, and they certainly don't provide the rest of what is needed.

If there is no ac, then you retain all the features.

since most 968s came with AC, and definitely all of them in the US, then retaining it is essential.
i assume that bracket also must come with another one to pick up the outer points and prevent flex. even though that bracket is steel, that can be a very real issue that results in premature belt wear if not addressed. by the way, who sells it?
also, putting it lower can be a real challenge for proper intake routing. it can force you to have to route the intake air too low and pick up heat, assuming you mount the air cleaner in a proper airbox and easily serviceable.
further, and more importantly, rotrex is very specific about mounting the supercharger ABOVE the reservoir so as to prevent leakage. they even reiterated that in a tech memo. mounting it low is BAD, and would force you to have to mount the reservoir very low, making it difficult to monitor and service.

The bracket has stiffeners at the connection from the sc mount to the block mount plate. It is made of stainless steel. Believe me, there is no visual flex - it is very strong.
I bought it from a place in holland. There are a couple of companies there that make rotrex 968 kits.
As for the reservoir mount - no problems, and that is how most kits are configured. Note rotrex advice, however that seems as sensible as putting the ps reservoir below the ps pump. I'm sure they have their reasons.....

i see the small gusset, but that does not deal with the outboard load, which would be applied by the belt. you may not see flex when sitting still. you would only see it under a load.
as for the rotrex design criteria, they are very specific about this, and have had problems with leakage. they had enough problems as a result of the reservoir being too low that they had to change the seal type in their units. i just had this conversation with them, as i have had one unit show a leak, and they wanted to be sure that this was not the cause. i don't know what you are looking at, but MOST systems do not have the reservoir above the unit. sure, some do, but MOST don't, and i know this because i know the designer of more rotrex systems than all others in the world combined.
this may also explain the difficulty you were having before. the system works backwards of what most people think, and with the reservoir above the unit, will have a tough time bleeding.

well, i said "can". i'm glad there is no flex. you're lucky. i've seen brackets just like that which had enough flex to make the pulley track a bit cantered, and caused premature wear. in the end they had to add more material or add a supporting bracket at the rear, like i did.
back on topic - i am now down to 1 kit left!!!
