Newbie Intro from the Washington DC area - Mikeyd - 02-23-2015

I'm Mike and I live in Loudoun County, VA (about 30 minutes West of DC).

I have owned the following cars over the years:

1976 BMW 2002

1988 BMW M3

2007 BMW M3

1987 Porsche 944

1988 Porsche 944 Turbo

After I married and became a father of 2, the sports cars went away.  I replaced them with motorcycles and a Jeep.

Now that my children are older and we sold our minivan, I am interested in purchasing a 968.

Mike

Also, I can retire from my job in 4 years and plan on relocating to Charleston, SC or Durango, PR.

Hey Mike...welcome. You should love a 968 judging by your past cars.

A little more background.

My "97 944 was tracked extensively with Potomac PCA and was nicely upgraded to the limits of street worthiness.  Sound deadening removed and half cage installed (I was in my 20s, so it was cool).

I race road raced Legends cars up and down the East Coast for 2/3 seasons.   I also spent 2 seasons racing a KTM in Supermoto.

Now, I race myself on my road bike or my mountain bike.  Much cheaper and I always win.

Also, you might want to contact Darryl at Odds and Ends Detailing (a sponsor), he usually has, or knows about 968s in the area (though you may want to take your search national). He is also a distributor of Adam's Products and an all around good guy.
