Full CFD carbon bodied, sequential gearbox (paddle activated), 3.1ltr 16v turbo with custom
everything just 'unwrapped' down here recently. Did very well in a large event with Zero shakedown under it's belt. Will be Australia's fastest 'tin top' car in the not too distant future. Will be as fast as some of our quickest open wheelers too. Mind boggling!
More details with pics here.

Actually, you possibly can't. ;-)
Some 'soft' laps.

No other cars on the track must be a great feeling!

No, you've got it wrong. We drive on the Correct / Right side of the road. You guys have it all wrong. Was the fault of some silly Frenchman who was just being...well, French. Had to be different from the Brits. Can't help themselves.
Time Attack as a format is growing rapidly all around the world. While it's not 'real racing' I guess you could say that about any form of qualifying or hillclimb or Rallying. It's not the most fascinating spectator sport for the crowd, but this event down here gets the biggest single crowds for any event they hold all year so they must be doing something right.
Here's pics of our car in action. While not at the level of the RP968 it's still pretty fast and well developed. To be honest it's a lot more of a Porsche transaxle than my friend's car. At least that's what I tell myself lol...It is quicker around the track than Porsche 991 Cup cars who are on Michelin slicks. We're on Yokohama AO50 R spec rubber. Not too bad if I say so myself. :-)

Stopped by the Sidney Porsche Dealer to inquire about a test drive a few year back. When they learned I was from the States they let me sit in it for a photo, but wouldn't give me the key......Some rubbish about not knowing what side of the road to drive on. Poppycock! Took a bunch of ESB's to get over it.
Anyway, that's a sweet ride you've built!!

Haha...Sorry you were treated so harshly!
Yes, both these cars are testament to what a great little car Porsche built back in the 70's 80's & 90's. Such a shame they discontinued the Transaxle Porsche. Once they pulled them out of the financial fire they went re focussed on the 911's.

The head reversal is some wild reengineering. Makes so much sense with a turbo set up though.

That's the largest Borg Warner EFR turbo you can buy. Rated at 1000bhp. This car sees full boost at 3300rpm which is amazing!
I have only seen one of the early dyno charts with a soft tune and low 7200rpm cuttout. 558whp @ 21psi. They should find another 100whp easily.
Pretty quick, especially with the paddle shift sequential gearbox.

Anybody see the 1500 hp Time Attack 968 on that other site? They pretty much fabbed the motor themselves as it is a 4 liter. Worth a look.
