Is there a way to automatically refresh the new topics? Is hitting the browser reload button the only way?
How about a Testing forum that is excluded from the new topics refresh, so people can try out signatures and generally play with the software?
How about a forum use forum, where questions like this can be answered.

The way I do it is by clicking the top logo bar it sends me back to the main forum. The 968 roadsign icon will be in color if there are new posts. Also there is a "View New Posts" navigation text on the top nav bar next to "My controls". This will list all new posts.
As for a forum for questions, suggestion and answers about functions, forum specific... your wish is my command... DONE

Dave: isn't there a keyboard shortcut for "Reload" in Windows browsers?
I have bookmarked the "View New Topics" link and it seems to work, although I don't see a refresh rate control like 968.net has:
