FS: Porsche CDR-220 head unit - WYLDCTZ - 08-04-2005

I have the Porsche CDR-220 head unit for sale. It works perfectly, but the display doesn't light up correctly. Its hard to explain. In the right light, you can read it. If you run your finger over the display gently, you can read it where your finger is. But in normal light it just looks very very very dim. (The display is detachable also for security)

Also, its the CD player version if you aren't familiar with it. Face pops open, CD goes in, etc etc.

Any offers? I have no idea what the thing is worth.

Your display is probably OK but for the viewing angle in a 968 you need a modified display which is available from Becker US. The cost is $150 but they will give a core exchange on yours of $100. Stefan at www.SWstereo.com will do the same.

*nod* I understand what you're saying, but its actually a problem with the display, its not a viewing angle issue. But thanks for the info and advice.

Cheers!

Apparently the led display needs a power source otherwise is dimly lit.
