Options on Hatch Re-gluing - Norskiepete - 01-26-2006

My hatch seal pretty much shot around the top of the hatch, with wind whistling in (although no rain... yet). I read Harvey's write-up in the DIY section on how he re-glued his hatch and am not sure I am up for that process.

I stopped in at a glass place this afternoon to ask about it. The manager's comment was: oh no, not another one of those! I guess the good news is that they were familiar with the process. He said he has done 924's, 944's, and 968's and it is an all-day job with risk of breaking the glass.

The question I have is: other than Harvey, what have other owners done about this problem?

I am relying on the phenomena of ignoring it and hoping it will go away <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Otherwise, Pelican has a tech article on it:
