Bilstein vs Koni for rear shocks - ira968 - 03-13-2006

I can buy the Bilstein B36-2052 heavy duty for the rear at $87 vs the Koni sport (#1035) adjustable for $120. Does anyone know if there a significant difference between these two shocks in application or performance? I'm not looking to lower my car and will probably replace the front Boge struts with the Koni inserts at some point. My car was in Hawaii for 8 years and the PO must have hauled his boat anchor in the back of the 968 -- they are really beat!

Thanks for any advice or experience you can share.

I would stay with the same mfg for both front and rear. For that reason I would suggest you then go with Koni.
