While the wife is away I thought I'd borrow the kitchen!
Bling!
Oh well it won't stay like this for long
Nearly there now

Very nice, my track car could use the same treatment!

They didn't look that good brand new! What process was used to get them so pretty?

Too much time and a lot of hard work
I cleaned them up using an aluminium cleaner I have.
It removed the tar and under chassis stuff.
I stripped them all down before cleaning and fitted new bearings just to be on the safe side.
The torsion bar carrier was powder coated but I checked the tolerance of the bearings first to make sure they will fit
Shame it won't stay like this though but it will be easier to adjust and fine tune the handling.
Spring plates are currently being acid cleaned and replated

Well Done...
I wonder if applying a clear coat would make cleaning and servicing easier later on..? If it's down to the base material [aluminum], you may see some surface corrosion in short time.

what about that Rejex stuff?
They recommend it for wheels to make cleaning off brake dust easier. . .

Beautiful! The powdercoating will make it a lot easier to keep clean. I had my valve cover and the vanity cover alongside powdercoated and all it takes is a wipe with a soft cloth now to keep it clean. The rough finish from the factory was difficult to clean oil stains and dirt off of but not the powdercoating. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

I'm going to clear coat laquer the arms and paint the torsion bar carrier holders
