Has anyone tried this mod?

I was looking for a short shifter at first but after reading quite a few posts it appears that the best choice is no longer sold. I called the company listing it and was told that it drops the shifter height 1"
My question for anyone that has it is what are the down sides. Does it rattle, come loose or anything like that?

Yes it rattles/buzzes like crazy!!!!!!!!! The problem is the adapter the is placed over the stock shift lever. Theirs is made out of aluminum which conducts the transmission vibrations and makes terrible noise. Before I tried to resolve this issue I bought a 993 knob. I lined it with rubber to absorb the vibration. I think if you could find a rubber dowel rod and cut a strip out of the center it would resolve the noise problem.
Hope this helps. If you want, I still have my Momo carbon fiber/silver knob. I am willing to part with it
Regards
Miles

Thanx for the warning on the shift kit. That buzzing would've drove me crazy.
