HID bedroom lighting - saxman - 09-07-2006

So the gf and I are painting our bedroom in the apartment, and in need of some bright lights to work by that don't give off much heat. So I dove into my closet o' goodies, and set up this little rig. Figured you'd get a kick out of this Flash. Photos don't really show up how much light it puts out... had to take 'em with the flash on the camera so you could see well.

rig consists of a computer power supply with 12v and ground isolated(my hid testing power supply), a pair of matsus***a hid ballasts(oem infiniti product), and a pair of phillips 4300k D2S HID bulbs. 6400 lumens of room lighting goodness without the heat of flood lamps.

well, the light up the room about 10 times better than the halogen lights I have... coincidence?

lol - whatever works for you i guess - i'm not a halogen fan either though - i prefer standard incandescent
