i don't have a comparison on redline, but i use it and so far like it a lot
i did post other comparison info that included amsoil info on a thread just last week

There's a very good article on oil here.

It applies more to the air cooled engines than ours but still is valuable reading and I would think using an oil recommended for the older 911s would be better for a 968 also.

Redline's too expensive for me, I ordered a case of Amsoil 5w-40 "European" blend of pure synthetic. I'm paying about 5.60 a quart, not bad!
