heard of it, but no charts seen yet - didn't look clean enough to me - i am pretty darned happy with the rs barn header though, and it's a LOT less dough

As far as I have read (mostly from 951 people) SFR make top quality parts. And you do pay for it.

not sure - i know the intake manifold doesn't work on an NA engine - drove like poop, and dented the hood

not real thrilled about their supercharger kit either - seems they finally worked out the software though

don't know anything else about any of their stuff yet - they seem to do a lot of non-porsche stuff successfully

Plus, RS Barn is a sponsor of this site, from all accounts do great work, and Pete is a great guy.

don't get me wrong, i'm not knocking tim's header - i have no idea how well it works - i am waiting to see some charts on it - it is pretty pricey though

Headers - FRporscheman - 02-05-2008

Yeah, SFR stuff is expensive. I've never bought anything from them but some buddies with 951s really love the things they bought from them.

I'm sure it's hard for them to develop 968 stuff when the market for it isn't huge and there's a competitor like RS barn! Probably most of their "fully cooked" Porsche stuff is for the 951.

Headers - flash - 02-05-2008

yeah - the other problem is that the 951 is pretty straight forward in how stuff works - big air in - big air out

the 968 is very finicky - one change here gives you a gain there, but a loss over here - it's a real pain to work stuff out, and very expensive in the process - it took pete a lot of going back and forth with the guys he hired to do the fabrication when he decided to develop the 968 header, and a lot of testing along the way - not many want to go through that, because as you say, the market is very small
