I have been meaning to post this for a long time now, but here it is:
Filter and Fluid Service:

The service interval for the Filter and Fluid is 3 years or 50k miles, whichever comes first. If you have not serviced your system within that period, you are now overdue. If your fluid in your reservoir is not blue (i.e. black) it is overdue.

Note: Use
ONLY Rotrex filter and Traction Fluid

Note: The proper method of checking your fluid level is with the engine
FULLY warmed up, and at idle.

Belt Service:

The belt should be replaced as a standard service item in not less than 3 years. It should also be replaced at the time of an engine timing belt project, or any time it is "relaxed" as a part of any service. Never re-use and/or re-tension the double sided Drive Belt if it has been used for more than 1000 miles.

Dear Bob,
Happy to see a recent post from you. Trust all is going well with you. Thank you for the "parts list". Was having a devil of a time finding a replacement flat 2" pulley.
My old one was plastic but the one listed from Jackson racing states it's a steel pulley. I presume a change was made at some point.
Anyway, I have yet to get the Rotrex reinstalled following my front end collision. I can't get my mechanic to do the work.
What I need are some good photos or diagrams of the pulley setup and also the name of someone in So Cal who is familiar with the Design 1 Racing unit and/or could reinstall the supercharger.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Clark

yes, i changed the one lower pulley to steel, right after the first batch. jackson is the only source on that, as the bearing thickness is specific. the upper pulleys are a different size, still plastic, and require machining prior to installation.
as to the re-installation, unfortunately i am not likely to be any help here. i do not have any pics, other than what were in the instructions. i do not know anyone in socal who is familiar enough with the installation so as to be of any help. i kind of screwed myself on that one, as i did most of the socal installations myself. i am now in ireland, and have been for over a year and a half, so no help there either.
i would reach out to other members who have a system installed, and get them to take pics, or swing by to show you.

Clark, this is a long shot but it maybe worth checking into it nonetheless. The person in SoCal who rebuilt my engine, at which time I already had the SC on it, would most likely remember how to reinstall the SC, and certainly capable of doing that with various photos of an installed unit taken from as many angles as feasible, in case he may need a memory refresher. But here's the problem ; his full time business is managing a Porsche auto parts salvage yard which he owns, and although he also works on a couple of long term projects involving some Porsche engines, it's solely for his own cars and does not do mechanical work for others. He only agreed to rebuilt my engine as a favor to a good friend of his who is also a member of this forum ( Ryker ). However he did say at that time, that's it's just a one-off and he has no time, nor interest to do mechanical work for other folks, in spite of having a soft spot for 968s ;-) . But here's what I would suggest - give him a call and ask him if he knows any mechanic in SoCal he can recommend for the job. If you're lucky you might even be able to convince him to stop by that mechanic's shop to briefly " supervise " the installation. His name is Henry ( last name is Tahmasian ) and he owns L.A.A.P. , which is Los Angeles Auto Parts in Sun Valley , on the north-eastern side of Noth Hollywood I think . His numbers are is or at least were .. 818 606 85 62 and 818 497 5219 not sure which is office and which is cell, I think the 497 one may be the mobile, but you can search for LAAP, they should also have an office number listed. Good luck.

Hi all - I just recently acquired a 968 cab with the supercharger - amazing. I'm working on some general service - and would like to replace the idler pulleys as I'm concerned about some possible bearing noise. I'm wondering if there is anywhere I can find instructions for changing the belt and pulleys? I know from the forum they used to be listed on the Design1Racing web site - but that is no more!
Thoughts?
Dave

Thanks so much for the link. One further question - it appears my belt is rubbing on the pipe exiting the charger - my assumption is I can loosen the pipe clamp and advance the pipe to give more clearance - but thought Id check in before I do so.
