My still relatively new-to-me 968 has a couple problems. One of them is that the rockers appear warped at the front, and the first few white posts are broken off.

What are my options for getting replacements, other than dismantlers? I checked a few sources for aftermarket Porsche body parts, but they don't seem to love the 968... I'd prefer stock appearance, but to a degree anything that will stay put would be acceptable.

smj, try Sunset Imports in Oregon for original replacement parts. They usually have a cheaper price than other dealers. porscheparts@sunsetimports.com Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Dismantlers aren't all that bad. Check Oklahoma Foreign and DC Automotive. Just make sure you can return for a full refund if the parts don't meet your standards when they arrive... Chances are a lot of the ones from parted cars are also warped.

If you want new, Bob's post is the way to go.

I think Strosek carries a 1-piece design. You can always give them a call.

could go with these:

Yeah, the Strosek pieces get my vote! Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

love the look - i wonder if the ducts function, and if it is limited to cars with flared quarterpanels?

I have pricing from Strosek for their 968 stuff... if anyone wants it, I can email it. Send me a PM and I'd be happy to oblige.

I got this pricing this Summer. They have a front splitter that looks very similar to what Flash designed.

i didn't design it - the one on my car was actually done by somebody else - it is a modified version of a unit made by yet another company - i cleaned it up and modified it further - then rustad pretty much duplicated it for his car

the one on the yellow car above does look a lot like it - i'd have to see more pics to see if it's the same or not though

I've asked Strosek for current pricing and pictures for the 968 front spoiler... We'll see what they say!

I think the sideskirts were about 600 a pair(and fiberglass)...can;t remember exactly...only one US dealer Fred Opert Racing, located in New Jersey. Since these are fiberglass, you can easily cut the side ports open and add inner deflectors as needed.

Excellent, thanks everybody. Guess for the DE on Halloween I'll just pull everything off - I think it's gonna be a little while before I can swing a proper replacement, with having just ordered some Konis... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

SMJ wait till you see what it looks like under the rockers. You won't leave them off for long....

I talked with Fred Opert Racing (US Strosek dist.) and Fred gave me pricing.

Rockers are $980.00

Splitter is $790.00

Both for only $1500.00

He would be willing to entertain a group buy. The thing that makes these so high is the shipping from Germany. He said the dollar was good now so pricing is cheaper than in the summer.

Pricing is SHIPPED

Well I see what Ryan means - I took the rocker in question off, and it isn't very pretty. I couldn't break the mounting bolts for the rear shocks loose and had to take the car in. My mechanic pointed out that the white plastic clips are replaceable -- I might be able to salvage these for a while, if I can replace those clips.

Those clips are replaceable, I got some from both my dealer and Pelican Parts.

Although I'm not interested in any of these modifications, if I can be of any help, let me know - Fred Opert is less than 5 minutes from my house (never been there, though).

Has anyone used Gt Racing? My link they have some Carbon fiber rockers for about the same cost as OEM.

I haven't tried this, but it sure looks like this guy believes he has a solution.
