My car's "bat wing" front shield (that thing beneath the front bumper that's known by many names) is cracked, so I was wondering if those of you with knowledge of Porsche-friendly dismantlers have any ideas as to where to look for a decent used one. New ones aren't prohibitively expensive, as I recall (somewhere around $350, IIRC), but since I track my car so frequently (plus have a history of making the not-so-friendly acquaintance with at least one parking lot concrete bump stop), I'm thinking a used one might make more sense. Thanks.

Try

german auto dismantlers

DC automotive

Oaklahoma foriegn

Also do a search on pelican for user John Hulko I have bought parts from him in the past, and is a very guy who seems to always have a 968 around.

You could also try German Auto Dismantlers http://www.germanautodismantlers.com/ and/or 20th Street Auto http://www.20car.com/index.htm

Happy hunting.

Just for the pricing record: I bought a new one from Sunset for $265.03 plus shipping last summer.

I seem to recall either 20th street or one of the others listed above had a used one for about $215.00 or in that ballpark.
