I know the Supercharger Engine cover is not included in the Open Door Special, but I've been wanting one for sometime but they were sold out on the site. Does anyone have one they aren't going to be using?

yeah - unfortunately i have to make 6 of those if i make 1. the material and the setup charge make it cost prohibitive any other way. then there is the list of odd small bits to make it all up as a kit.
oddly, they weren't a huge seller (about 1 for every 6 kits sold). i thought more people would go for it. i know i like the cleaner look. but based on the past, i seriously doubt i'll get 6 people. i didn't want to put it up there and then have to refund people.

The SC cover is very nice - tidies things up a bit and I am glad I ordered it with the kit. Somewhat perversely though, whenever I show someone the kit (including the UPS guy and anyone else who walks by the house...) I take the cover off to show them all the nice plumbing.

Good point, I liked the look of the supercharger and everything that goes with it. When I originally ordered the kit I owned a black car and now that its going onto a white car all the hoses and everything are going to stand out more.

Flash, sometime last year after the splitters became available, you mentioned something about offering some rub strips that would help preserve the lower lip of the splitter. Is that something that you are likely to offer at some point in time?

orders are trickling in, but we are nowhere near the minimums on a number of items. at this time, it looks like i'll likely just be refunding everybody their money on those.
we'll see how it goes. i definitely will not be extending the time frame though, and given where this looks like it's going, it will be at least a year before i think about this again.

lol - i'm going to wait and see how things go for a bit longer before i start putting that out info there. i just didn't want to wait until the last minute to start letting people know they need to get off the stick if they want stuff. if i get closer to the end of the month, and i'm still short, i'll let those people with items that may not make it know, so they can start thinking about other arrangements.
we're not there yet though.

Fair enough, it's still really early in the month. You've got your doors open until the 31st, so hopefully more people will decide they need the short shifter and the strut, castor and firewall braces (hint). If they already have them on their cars, they obviously should buy another 968 and purchase all those items again (hint hint).

all orders help make the minimums. pretty much anything that i have to have made out of sheet metal or aluminum has a minimum. there are only a few things i can do "one-off".
