Ha! That's funny!!!!
We used to take the short bus to our tennis matches when I was in high school.... Then I got my driver's license and drove myself!

I saw a great licence plate back in May while gasing up.
It was on a Subaru STi coupe. "HADOUKN"
For those of us who grew up with the game "Street Fighter" it refers to the main characters move where he exclaims "Hadoukn!"

Hi
Thanks to Biotechee and Dan for the proper usage of German. Should I assume that NEUN 6 8 or NEUN 68 would also be incorrect?
Thanks again.
Steve

My car has LAST968 on it, which some would argue is "incorrect" - but it's right for me, and it's my car!

I saw one yesterday that I liked - ISAIL7CS. The capability it conjures up is a nice image.

Well, I didn't spring for the vanity plate for the cab... I went with your run-of-the-mill Philly Zoo plate- rather nice looking plate with a green jungle-like background and a tiger in the foreground. PA donates some of the money to the Zoo. My family and I are supporters of the Zoo and we love taking the kids there. They have really invested a lot of money over the last 10-15 years and it shows. So much better there than when I was a kid.
I was going to get the D.A.R.E. plate, but they changed the design so it now looks almost like a normal PA plate. Used to be black, white and red.

I just bought a 91 Audi 200 TQ Avant. The plate on it was EUROSUV. I gave it up though.

that gives me an idea : UROTRSH . Of course, I'd never put it on my car , maybe on a blinged-out MBZ

Just got "968 CPE" as a gift for my birthday. Back in the UK (where I'm from) that would have cost thousands (even if it would have been available). Always thought personal plates were a bit wanky, but now I have one they are cool of course!

Hmmmm, interesting thread. I've been toying with the idea for a while but here in BC we're only allowed 6 digits, which really limits the fun!
However, here's some
If my car were actually fast - YUD LUZ or NYS TRY or MCH LTR or B BY NOW or simply, EVOM
If I were a tennis player - 10SNE1
But, to actually honor the car itself, I'm thinkin 4 BNGR or JUSTA4 or UNEEK or UNFLAT (Porsche's 'usual' engine designation)
Most of those bite, but again, we're kinda screwed having 6 characters....so what're ya gonna do!??
I actually tried NO PNTS (no pants - just liked the way it sounded!)
And finally, for those that actually haven't heard of it (and I apologize to those that have - it's an oldey) 4U2NV but c'mon - it's a $10K ghetto Porsch lol

I went very conservative and have ordered 9 SIX 8, my first choice. I was surprised that it hadn't been taken but then again there aren't that many 968's in Ontario.
Cheers

My 914-6 carries NONELVN -- I shamelessly stole that from somebody on one of the 914 boards. Local hippies, Harry Potter addicts, and Tolkein fans* are probably picking up NON ELVEN instead of NON ELEVEN, but that's their problem.
On the pronunciation topic, I find I usually say "nine four four," "nine fourteen" or "teener," "nine twenty-four," "nine twenty-eight," and "nine sixty-eight" more often than "nine six eight." For the ass-draggers (ahem ) it's "nine eleven," "ess sea" for 911SC, "nine thirty," "nine sixty-four," "nine nine three," "nine nine six," and "nine nine seven"
* Full disclosure: I include myself in this last category. Somehow though I manage to remain unconfused most of the time. Well, when it comes to the plate anyway...
