well, everything is off for prototype fabrication (drive plate, drive plate mount, oil cooler bracket, radiator shroud, radiator retainers) - now it's just the waiting game
in the meantime, i will begin the airbox
by the weekend i expect to be completely done with all components and just waiting for them to be made so i can install them and fire this puppy up

968TDG popped in today and we worked on the engine bay trim plate that will clean up everything at the front of the bay - we discovered we had to make an air cleaner change in order for everything to fit, but it is really going to work well now - very happy - he is off now to make the mold and knock out a prototype
this is really starting to turn out nicely

i've been working on the install instructions this evening (as i sip a glass of wine) and it looks like it should take about 6 hours beginning to end to install the entire system - this includes jacking time and everything - many things will come pre-assembled to insure proper torque and ease of installation
the parts list has become quite extensive - it includes cool new parts like ones to isolate engine bay heat from the intake, ones to isolate radiator heat from the engine bay, formed hard pipe for the charge side, new upper radiator hose, as well as all the tuning for the system, and all the cool aesthetic things to make it pretty - i shot for a professional looking installation, and have included all the little things that make it happen, like hose clamps and wire holders to dress that stuff out, powder coated parts, clean tubing parts, and a what should be a very cool dressing cover
i am really quite pleased with how this is coming out, and how it all looks - this is turning out to be the cleanest aftermarket kit i think i have ever seen (of course, that was the goal)
i am still on track and should be able to post pics soon
i am also still on track for sub $4k pricing

And it's all so exciting I didn't even remember to give you back that damn 19mm wrench. I should have the 3d model done in Solidworks for the cover by the end of the week.

i picked up the factory cat-back today - got the flange welded on
checked in on some of the parts at the machinist - going well
i'll be spending the next couple of days tidying things up and preparing for the assembly

due to the cost to manufacture per kit, we won't be keeping these in stock, and will be making to order in batches
the transactions will occur through RS Barn, but i am trying to get an idea of how many we need to make right off the bat
