PRIZE- Where to place the Mobil 1 label underhood?
#1

Just got a replacement Mobil 1 factory label that goes under the hood - can someone post a photo where this goes / placement?

PRIZE - I'll send a spare OEM Mobil 1 label to the person who correctly identifies the right location!

Thanks!

i've also got a shell label under the hood. i think it has german writing on it. it's way up by the windshield just on the driver's side of center. i've got a coupld of other labels under there, too. warnings of death due to careless service, i think.

where did you get the mobil 1 label? i wouldn't mind putting one on myself. i can't remember the last time i even saw shell motor oil anywhere!

well I see we have a few good suggestions!!! I always thought 95 cars had the Mobil 1 fill from factory. I too have the Shell fill, but wanted to add the Mobil 1 label to the cars to avoid someone putting in dino oil etc at a top up.

Here's the label -

Yep, stuck on there really well. SILVY968 - thanks for the photo - confirms that even 95's did not have that Mobil 1 label, so I just stuck it on that vanity panel next to filler cap. Point was not to get someone topping up the car with Dino oil or whatever brand.

My car still has all the Shell etc labels on it

Flash,

Took the shot after putting on the european lenses to eliminate the front bumperettes. Looks GREAT!

Must have been shaking with excitement, or could have been low light.

Get yer stickers here...

http://www.eagleday.com/factorydecals.html

My 92 Cab also has all of the factory stickers still intact. The Shell factory fill, etc. along with the K&N air filter "do not discard" sticker from PO.

I have no idea what oil is currently in my car as it came with no service records, but it will have Mobile 1 15W50 very soon per recommendation from you fine folks. I believe there is a K&N oil filter on now and I like the CN Racing filter...in the meantime, is there any REAL difference between the OEM Mahle, K&N, etc. just to get me a quickie change and fill?

Thanks!

according to an oil fiter test article i read a while back, carrying forward to our car based on the model they tested, k&n is the best spin-on with mahle a very close second (might have been a tie)

the mobil 1 filter was pretty good too
