I really like how they managed the curve along the convertible top. It makes the backend look less plain. I can't really work out how much modification they had to make to the fenders to get that shape though. The top looks standard, but the top of the door looks like it curves up more than the normal convertible.

I really like it. THey have non-pop-up headlamps on it, too. Really modernized/current look. Fantastic. Where do I get one???? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

To be a bit more serious though, has anybody done any mock-ups or art work on a replacement rear hatch, other than the way dated Stroksek design. Maybe something loosely based on 928ish kinda.

Curious about the windshield, and what's inside it - you can see a light-colored band through it (on the inside of it) as it's unloaded. Also glad to see the urethane is warped on that one too, even though it's probably been indoors all its life. (Look at the bottom of the driver's door as its being pushed inside). Looks like a flat back-panel with "Roadster" script applied, a la Boxster, instead of "PORSCHE" molded into the urethane, as well.

All the lines look more rounded and the horizontal line in the center of the doors are almost gone, I like it.

Yeah, that looks awesome. Completely takes care of everything that makes me not like the cab as much as the coupe. Is it an actual Porsche-built concept that has stayed hidden for 20+ years, or is this a new creation?!

I've been interested to see what a 968 Spyder would look like... the lines would flow way better than on the 944 that IFC Racing turned into a Spyder:

That's a Porsche-built concept, hidden away in their museum. Too bad they didn't make it! I'd love to see a reproduction pop-up somewhere. I figure new fenders, a bit of work on the doors, a new trunk lid, and new windshield frame would be necessary for that to happen. Maybe if someone had a rough cabriolet that needed new rear quarter panels....

Great looking car. I love the rear, the Roadster tag, and the fixed headlights. Looks like 17" Speedline 3.6 wheels? Maybe 18's with a higher profile tire than normal?

i don't think the headlights are fixed. wrong angle. the fenders probably just fit better.

I'm wondering how people know they're fixed, too. I just thought they looked like mine without the depression/angle around the light.
