WTB seat belt latches
#1

Not sure if I'm using the right term, but I just realized something, nearly two years into my track car build. I sold the stock front seats a long time ago, which means I don't have the latches the combination seat/shoulder belt clicks into, because these are bolted to the inner sides of the seats. So, to be able to continue to use the stock belts (which would be much more comfortable when driving the car on the street, and would eliminate the need to buy a harness for the passenger side), I need a pair of these latches (then I need to find a way to attach them to the center tunnel). Anybody by chance have a spare pair laying around? I know this is an extreme long shot, but it never hurts to try. I feel a call to Oklahoma Foreign coming on... Thanks.

I've got a spare pair in storage; I think they are black but would have to check. PM me if your interested.

Thanks, Dan

Thanks, guys. Could one of you please do me a favor and measure the length of your seat belt latches. from the bolt eye to the end of the latch? Since I no longer have the stock seats, I'm going to have to figure out some way to attach the latches, and knowing their length would help. Thanks.

8 and 3/8" from center of bolt hole to end of latch.

Thanks; I'll measure and see if I can make it work with my racing seats. My concern is finding attachment points - on my driver seat, the threads on the side of the seat are used for the bolts that attach the side mounts to the seats. No sure if I want this bolt to do double duty and attach my seat belt latch as well. Of course, at the track, I won't be using the stock seat belt - I'll be using the harness.

On the passenger side, on the other hand, I have a Corbeau seat I bought from Pablo Crespo, at it is attached to runners on the bottom of the seat, leaving the threads on the side of the seat free to use for the seat belt latch.

I'm almost done installing the drivers' seat (taking a lot longer than I expected). Once I have it in place, I'll see if I can make the latch work. If not, I'll buy just the one for the passenger side, and use the harness when I'm driving the car on the street as well. Not my first choice, as I don't like the fact that to be safe in a harness, you have to have it tightly strapped, making it difficult to lean forward, which is important with street driving (like at intersections). I'll report back when I have something figured out. But at a minimum, I will be needing one latch. Thanks.
