____...in Seattle
#1

Saw this on Craigslist Seattle. A 5-speed? Anyone ever see this on another 968 before?

Here's another. Now this one looks like it warrants a serious look...

He just "deleted" the posting (above) and re-posted with a $1000 added to the price! I guess with me sending him an email asking for some info, he added that to the posting, but also decided that it all of a sudden was worth more $$$!

That first one definitely was someone's setup for the track. I imagine that's going to be a hard sell.

The second one does look pretty nice though. Hopefully it'll find a good home.

The second link said "deleted" for me but the third looks look a well cared for car at a fair price. Those spring rates on the first would knock your teeth loose on the street!

i'm pretty sure this is the car ds968 and i looked almost a year ago - if so, there is no chance he'll get that kind of money - it looked like it was worth the $11.5k, though that was the top end

would be nice to find out if it's the same car

i was just reading the text again, and it sure sounds like the same guy - he was a real piece of work - definitely had no idea how to sell a car - the text in the ad sounds just like something he'd say, the shop mentioned is the same one, the belt work times out about right

ds968? is it the same car?

I remember that post. Dan asked you to check things over and as you did, the Owner became impatient with you.

LOL, he sounds a bit impatient now as well.. and its just an ad .

not the same car, nor the same guy... but it's very likely they're brothers or at least cousins

Craigs List often equals fishy. If he's positive it'll sell for 16.5, why put it up for 11.5? Looks like a pretty sweet car for that money tho.

I agree that this looks fishy. This price is quite low for a car with only 70K miles, especially considering all he's added to it. And I wonder what makes it "ALOT" faster than a regular 968, since, other than the "Gemballa" chip (which I've never heard of)...

Seller seems to have a real customer focus.

I have a great car.

You want to buy it.

In fact you'd be lucky to buy it.

Now leave me alone so that I can go back to watching Opra and eating cigars.

Grrrr......

I'm laughing right now at how everyone has been so entertained by this seller! Like I mentioned in the previous post, I sent him an email and immediately he "updated" his posting, with an INCREASED price! He emails me that I should come by and see the car, and then he jacks the price up a grand! HELLO! Like I'm going to waste my time!
