Such sad and disturbing events is Paris. My thoughts are with our French members that they and their families are safe.

Sad and disturbing indeed. I hope as we view their tragedy going forward that we remember that people responsible for this are not the refugees flooding into Europe, but the people from whom they flee.

The French are our first and oldest ally. We need to repay that debt with our unqualified support.

I'm wondering how many muslims those cowards have shot or blown up.  Just shooting people in the back while attending a concert isn't exactly picking out just the 'infideles'.  I hope that the muslim communities of Europe demonstrate that they too have enough of it, and that no right-wing retaliation is in the making because that is probably what the terrorists want.

I hope unfortunate events like this brings us Europeans closer together, both native and immigrants.

One would hope that soon our leaders will understand we are at war with a significant part of the Muslim world. The current invasion of Europe by the refugee exodus is a partial mask to insert Islam fighters. This is a situation which will produce an avalanche of problems moving forward. Any one talking about it or even acknowledging it? Who pays for the increase in human service expenses? Think these people won't access benefits? It is actually a clever strategy. European demise might already have started. Anyone talking about this?

By the way Chris, as much as people like to bad mouth the French, you're right about them being our oldest allies. I'm just not sure they are our closest. But still allies that deserve our support.

I’ve been to Paris a few times. Most recently last June. I love the city and the people. It has changed over the years. Quite a few local restaurants and creperies have been replaced with sushi bars. Still, there is nothing quite like sitting outside a Paris café, eating a meal and people watching. Well, you have to drink a little wine also. A place rich in culture, architecture and diversity. But that’s everything ISIS likes to destroy, isn’t it? Vive la France!
