#1

My tip has option code 15801, anyone out there have it and been able to ID, all I've been told is that it is a custom interior code of some sort....

Could be...only unusual interior feature is that my drivers leather is completely different grade than the other seat surfaces. Head and shoulders leather grade above the rest....??? Damn, now I'm thirsty for a properly poured black and tan!

Full lumbar +heat, the heat of course is needed for them FL winters. I need to look at a couple other 968 interiors for leather grade comparison.
I really don't believe any of the seat surfaces were changed but who knows...

Thanks for the brewskie!

I have collected many of the 5 digit interior codes but I don't have that one. Sorry. If you figure it out let us know. The code can often be specific to the color of the option, for example seat piping gets a different 5 digit code for each color piping. post a photo of your interior and maybe someone can spot it. Your interior picture shows the deviating carpet option (black carpet in a cashmere interior). Do you have other 5 digit codes?

JC: after the first few, you just don't really care about the mix so much....

rslyper: while sitting in my old seats, I was just thinking the other day that I wish I had lumbar support. I did not even know there was an option....

Is there a manual lumbar support?

I had some lumbar added to mine by a local upholstery shop. I really like what they did and the seats feel better now. One mistake I made is that I had them add a little to the bottom but being 6'4", I sit a little close to the top now. It's not bad but I wouldn't do it again. I think it cost me about $120 for both front seats.

That just shows your car has an exclusive program option, probably XD4 which is the painted center caps. Code 15801 would not get you the 09991. You don't have the window sticker for the car, do you?

X- IIRC, there was no option for manual lumbar support. You could order the seats with lumbar support- pretty rare.

I had lumbar support in my previous coupe and I liked it a lot. Driver's side was 12-way sans heat. Adds a crap-load of weight to the seat, of course, but if you're looking for a very nicely appointed seat that can adjust in a bazillion different ways, it's good stuff. Wish I had 12-ways in the cab.

It's power lumbar, unfortunately only 2 of the 4 controls work, inflate and deflate. The other set moves the bladder up and down I believe.
My heat on the drivers side is also inop. Any of yas deal with defunct seat controls before? I'm a total novice with this stuff and have been tempted to unscrew the control panel from the seat side and take a look but I also know well enough not to jump in without discussing with
those of yas in the know. Worth screwing with considering the rest of the primary controls work satisfactory?

Thanks for the correction on 139, that's what I meant to type. I'm gonna have to take close up pics of the drivers seat surfaces vs the other 3 and post em. I really think it may have to do with the drivers seat being fully outfitted and a premium grade of leather was used on it. It also appears and feels to be full leather on the sides and back. Have not come across anything else inside that looks any different than the rest of yas.
