I have a slight drip forming from the 24mm bolt under the oil pressure sending unit. I'm guessing this is the OPRV. If I remove that bolt to replace the sealing ring am I going to run into any allignment issues with the OPRV? Basically is that valve going to be springing out? Also will I be dropping oil out of there if I remove the bolt, ie: should oil be drained first?

No alignment issues. Not going to spring out. No need to drain the oil, very little will drain out. Good luck.

When you only remove the oil pressure regulatoryou have to do the following steps.

1: loose the bolt. (half a pint of oil is coming out)

2: replace the 2 o-rings inside the oil pressure regulator. because there is a chance you destroy one of them.

the o-rings cost nothing but can give you a major engine damage.!!!

3: if you dont loose the 4 bolt from the thermostat-house ther is no aligment nescessary.

That is only necessary when you completly remove the house.

4 the torque, after refitting the orings and the ring is 45 nm.

But are you sure the oil is leaking from that bolt??

mostly when oil is at that side of the engine it comes from the balanceshaft. not the seal but the o-ring between the engine and the house.

Clean the place well and check again.

I have done also but had to renew the seal from the shaft and o-ring and also the complete new gasket from the thermostat housing including the rings inside from the pressure regulator.

Total time to install. approx. 12 houres.

Thanks.. I'm pretty sure it's from the bolt, I can see oil around the threads and dripping at the head of the bolt. I just had the belts changed and nothing was mentioned about a leak in there. I'm sure they would have since they could have gotten some more money out of me. I figured the bolt would be pretty easy insurance to rule it out. I can get at it from underneath without removing anything.
