Hi there.

I've recently become smitten with the 968 and am now looking for a clean 6spd coupe for daily driver duty. I'm currently driving my favorite car so far - a '99 Z3 M Coupe. I joined this site to learn more about the cars and see if there are resources for finding one - as you know they're not too common. Really looking forward to learning more about problem areas, maintenance, easy upgrades, etc from all the 968 owners on here!

Cheers,

Joe Klein

Welcome to the thinking person's Porsche website. We are probably a bit biased, but most of us think that the 968 is an excellent vehicle. Lots of great info to help you with your search. Odds are if you are looking at a car, so done here knows about it.

All the best for he quest.

Hey Joe --

I can dig your taste in cars -- i too have a 99 MCoupe, and a 95 968 coupe.

On paper, they are very similar (weight, size, wheels, power, # built..) -- in person, very different personalities and I love them both.

This site and the guys here will be Invaluable to owning a 968.

Joe:

Welcome to the forum. I'm just down the road a little in Alameda. I found my '93 Cab, which I use as a DD, on autotrader.com, and flew down to Socal to pick it up in Riverside and drive it back. If you go that route, (and you'll likely have to as these don't sell locally very often), it would be wise to find a good Porsche shop local to the car and have a thorough pre-purchase inspection done.
