Hello 968'ers. Just got my 92 black cab one week ago. It's pretty nice but looking forward to making it all it can be. Very fun car to drive (just wish it was a little quicker going through the first 3 gears!).

Welcome. You can do a few things that don't cost lots of money for some more hp but these are not "off the line" fast cars. But pretty good if you keep the momentum up. Search on airbox mod, chips and exhaust.

Thanks guys. It's no big deal. I still have an XKR that is pretty fast but I really prefer driving the 968. Something about it.

I had a guy at Summit Point ask me last weekend what my car did in a 1/4 mile. He was a visitor to the event walking around shirtless with a can of beer in his hand. I tried hard not to laugh when I answered him. Better question might have been how many cars can follow you in the corners!

I'm betting in his world cars either go straight for a quarter mile, or they only turn left.

I have to agree there is just something about them you just can't put your finger on, intoxicating is it not

Part of it is the feedback you get from the car, I think. The feel of the steering wheel and the higher revs of the engine. Hard to describe but it feels like you are part of a machine.
