Hello everyone .I am Mike from Australia , originally born in Czechoslovakia . I was bidding on an auction on a green 968 , lost the auction and bought a 944S2 .Week later auctioneer has contacted me the person who outbid me on the 968 has not made contact , I can have the 968 for my last bid price .So I have ended up with 2 similar cars, love them both  . 1989 Blue Porsche 944S2 manual USA import converted to RHD and the 1993 968 Green tipronic with no sunroof what many prefer .I have paid as much for these two cars as I would pay on a single 968 manual . Only 141 968's were imported to Australia by Porsche so they are expensive here , Tiptronic starts AU$ 50k , manual starts AUD$70 k and CL are well over AU$100k .That is my story . I also own a 1994 BMW 840Ci and a 1992 MB 500SL .There is something about cars from 90's . They go up in value I feel good investment ,

Welcome Mike , indeed a nice fleet of cars  !   840Ci and the SL 500 are great choices.   I had two 944s, one of which was an S2 for a combined 20 years some of which overlapped with my two 968, one manual and one tiptronic.   Other than looks they felt like two completely different cars from a driving perspective.   Eventually I had both of them supercharged.  I sold the tiptronic several years ago.    So enjoy both of your new acquisitions with many miles and smiles ahead.

p.s. my wife was born in Slany ( near Kladno ), but moved to Prague as a young girl and lived there until she was 20.  I've been to Czech Republic and Slovakia a few times , but not since 1976 ..so that's a loooong time ago
