Hello everyone,

I own a red '93 968 coupe with 63000 miles / 100kkm on.

I live in the South Caribbean since 1995 on a small island (Bonaire) with 17000 inhabitants.

I have the only Porsche on island (I also have the only Range Rover, the only Figaro, the only Stagea and the only Gloria)

Due to the island borders and a lack of a well equipped service center it is all DIY for me.

The limited size of the island and the sometimes very bad condition of the roads, does not allow for speedy rides, however the roads have many twists and turns and not a lot of traffic (aside from the occasional crossing donkeys, iguanas and goats) so great fun to drive and enjoy the engine.

My car needs a little TLC (the sun is brutal over here) but is generally in good condition.

Regards,

Questron7

Welcome!

I always wondered if there were any 968's in "remote" (tropical) places... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I have been three times in Curacao and once in Aruba, but maybe now there is a reason to visit the "B" island of the "ABC" islands that make up the (former?) Dutch Antilles! I lived twenty years in Brazil and maybe will move back there again someday... The 968 Cab would be a nice car to have there, but the road conditions and the tropical weather would also be negatives there!

Please post some "tropical" 968 pictures!

Yes yes. A picture with a real Palm tree (rather than these fake ones that we have in California) would be great.
