Looking for scrap dealers or used parts dealers
#1

My 968 needs some parts that are no longer available form Porsche.

I found a company in California, called "Parts Heaven" 1-800-767-7250.

Does anyone know of other sources for used parts?

I've used DCAuto for many of the parts I needed for my car. When I ordered 2 used power door lock actuators, they actually sent me 3. My used fuel rail came with new hoses and an extra fuel injector attached.

None of the parts they've sent has been faulty or have failed.

William, what you needing. There have been a couple of 944s being parted out locally or in Seattle on Craig's list. Since many of our parts are 944 parts, you might check them out.

I've gotten rough parts from DC Auto in the past, and even rougher phone service. LA Dismantlers has always come through with quality in both areas though.

I am looking for the Ambient Temperature Guage that is on the dash to the right of the cig. lighter. The sunlight burns out the LCDs so they do not glow brightly. Porsche has no inventory. found one for $95

I am also looking for a complete Rear wiper assembly. the motor and the wiper arm But not the wiper as I can get that locally. My coupe had one but it was removed and there is a rubber plug in the hole. All wired with a switch in the car already. Found one for $175

The place I found it has not tested them yet and hopes to do so by Weeks end.

Are these good prices?

This reminds me - is anyone monitoring and periodically keeping the 968 NLA parts thread up to date ?
