Just purchased my first 968 and happy to join the community.  Want to do most/all work on the car myself so will need some help!

Located in S. Florida.  The DIY section should help but also may need a few parts.  Not sure where to find them as this car has been out of production for a long time.

I find comparable parts prices from Porsche, through dealer sites Sonnen, Sunset, and Gaudin, which seem to use the same online search tool.

Welcome, and you'll be glad to find out parts costs are quite similar to those of a recent model Camry.

That is, you can buy a recent model Camry for the cost of any Porsche 968 part, if you can find it.

Always try your local Porsche Dealership first, a lot of parts on ebay are more expensive for second hand that brand new from Porsche.

and if its made of rubber you will need to sit down when you are asking the price.

generally spare part situation for 968 is quite good both Porsche and specialists offer almost all parts. And for the other ones you often get help from guys dismantling 968 that can’t be repaired.

Yep, just spent €52 on one rubber seal for the lock of the trunk hatch. And it didn’t fix my leakage... :-(

Hatch leaks can be a big issue, if its getting in through the hatch lock pins it can be fun to stop
