so for the third or fourth time ( among my two cars )  the feeble clip which holds the cable on the motor's pivoting pin, fell off .   stupid design, that clip is not affixed inside any groove on the pin, it just slips on and hangs on there by the grace of the hatchback gods.. who get angry at times and make it slip right off.    So if any of you notice that suddenly your hatchback does not open when you push the switch, AND IT'S NOT THE FUSE THAT BLEW ( check that first ) , before you assume the motor burned out, make sure you check the cable link connection to see if it has not detached itself .
